A type of media that I feel will become extremely popular over the next few years is virtual product placement. As such this concept does exist with some products online offering full 3D views for users to see from all angles they wish to see. In addition, Virtual Reality playgrounds which allow users to place 3D models next to real life people and objects is also becoming more popular as things such as placing a virtual TV in your room to see what it would look like or placing a 3D model of an animal to compare size can all be done with smartphones.
However I feel we will see this concept being taken further with advancement in 3D and graphic modeling software as well as hologram hardware where full objects can be displayed in full fidelity and high quality image quality. Fashion brands will be keen on this as 2D images can now be seen in 3D for a better look at a dress or bag as well as virtual models wearing the clothing being advertised so manufacturers don't even need to create the piece of clothing physically to start getting people interested. Virtual hologram stands that display different types of TV's allow stores to save space as product floors will be less congested and this concept can apply to any big appliance whether it be from fridges, washing machines or full size automobiles.

    I like your point about how the fashion industry can utilize 3D images to show off their newest designs. I think this can definitely become a thing in the future.

    This is quite interesting and the fashion world can definitely benefit from this. Our capitalist economy can save a lot of money and resources if this technology is used. This can enhance online shopping too.
